Professor Dame Marilyn Stathern, William Wyseman Professor of Anthropology, 1993- 2008, Cambridge University, conducted fieldwork in the New Guinea Highlands and in Port Moresby from the 1960s onward.
Number 8 from a run of 50, made in September 1968.

(Bio) Tiabe was from the Southern Highlands, but met Georgina Bier when she ran art workshops at the Laloki Mental Home, Port Moresby, 1967-8. This produced PNG's first "outsider" artists, including Tiabe, Kupialdo, Sukoro, Hape and Mathias, whose artwporks were shown at the university library in 1968. Some of his works such as ‘Accident’ distrust of Western technology.
