Description
shield - Wooden ?parrying shield, of two angles flat sections, sewn with cane with a wooden handle, also bound with cane at the rear. Decorated on the front with a human head, wearing a feathered headdress, a symbol of chiefly status and a snake, one end of which terminates is in a concentric loop. The snake is decorated with a diamond pattern. Condition; poor. Handle broken and detached secured with microfilament. Evidence of insect damage. Cane binding damaged in places.
