Old display label found with this object, and marked in pencil '44.37' reads: 'CINN = Cinnamus. Lezoux & Lubie. Trajan-Antonine. No Provenance.' This is slightly different from the description, transcribing the stamp as 'CINN' rather than 'CINV'. Furthermore, the object does have provenance, having been excavated in 1944 in Earith. Therefore there is some possible confusion between the label and the object.
