Description (CMS Description)
Oval bowl of wood, stained black, on a short lozenge-shaped foot. The handles are carved in the shape of a fish (?bonito) and stylised frigate bird (the wings are carved in low relief along the rim). The handles, rim and top edge are inlaid with small pieces of pearl shell or nautilus shell inlay and one piece of trochus shell.
