Context (Production / use)
Email correspondence between depositor and Dr Anita Herle states 'Mongolian Wrestler's hat of the janijin malgai (litterally 'marshal's hat) style, from the province of Dornod in the East of the country. Hand made by a household in the 1990s it belonged to a locally famous wrestler named Purevochir Nachin (who was born in the 1950s). The first name (Purevochir) is his personal name, the term Nachin is a title for a champion wrestler (awarded to the third round winner in the national wrestling contest).'
