Description (CMS Description)
Large canoe prow ornament of wood, carved in the shape of a human head and torso. A lug carved at the back for attaching to canoe. Prognathous features. Lines of 'Z'-shaped inlays along the cheeks and jawbone. One eyebrow inlaid. Conical cap. Hands clasped together holding a ?dog. Most of the figure is stained black, with the exception of the lug and cap. One ear heavily chipped (recent) and wood crumbly.
