Context (Amendments / updates)
When this accession number was transferred to the museum from Oriental Studies, it was originally assumed that the objects came from Egypt, as did most of the other objects. However, until they can be more securely given a location, several likely possibility have been included in the Place field.

Description (CMS Description)
Fragment of figurine. Only the head and upper body are extant. Bearded male figure wearing a phrygian cap. Lower arms are both broken and missing but position of upper arms suggest an outstretched position. The face is crisply moulded, with large eyes and a prominent nose. The hat/cap appears to be hand modeled.
