Boucard, London, to Anatole von Hügel, 20 July 1891, in MAA Correspondence archive: 'I have a good many ethnological specimens from New Guinea, Solomon Isl., Madagascar, New Zealand, Centrl and South America + + and I shall be very happy to resume business with you. If any of the objects mentioned are of use to your Museum, I shall be happy to send them on approval.'

Description (CMS Description)
Ornament formed of a disc of tridacna shell pierced in its centre, to which a very thin disc or turtle shell carved in openwork is tied with a cord of twisted fibre. The turtle shell disc is chipped.
