Arrow - A bundle of 9 unaccessioned arrows. 4 of the arrows have cane shafts, wooden foreshafts and bone points. 5 of the arrows have cane shafts and wooden points, 2 of which are decorated with human faces and lime. Description made on sight of objects in September 2013 by collections staff.

A bundle of 9 arrows from ?British New Guinea but with no known provenance and no identifying labels.
3 are marked with one of the following numbers: 'O.H. 574', 'O.H. 566', and 'O.H. 600', in white ink. The arrow which is marked 'O.H. 574' is also marked 'A.C.Yorke 7' on the shaft in pencil [the 7 in a circle].
Found tied with
E 1904.417 and so it is possible the bundle of 9 arrows are the remaining A.C. Yorke arrows from the Collingwood Bay Region.
