Handwritten label affixed to front of board, beneath the models, reads: 'Models, in copper, to illustrate the process of manufacture of the gold armilla from Grunty Fen'. The reverse of the board, which shows fading that indicates the models were once mounted on that side, has a handwritten label affixed underneath where the models would be mounted, reading: 'Models, in copper, to illustrate the process of manufacture of the gold armilla from Grunt Fen, C.'
