Context (Analysis)
The presence of an 'M' as a suffix to the old number inscribed on the metal label suggests that the object was collected by Alfred Percival Maudslay. It is possible that he collected the object in Fiji, during his work as Private Secretary to the Governor of Fiji between 1875 and 1877.
