The entry in Beasley's original catalgue (vol.3) reads: 'SOLOMON GROUP: - MALA: - Fish hook in one piece made of turtle shell. Admiral Davis Collection. H.M.S. Royalist in the Pacific 1890-1893. Bought: - Edward Gerrard, 61 College Place, Camden Town, N.W.1.’ It was purchased by Beasley on 27 February 1930 [Lucie Carreau, 05/09/2017].
