Accession No

Description

Silver cast finger ring with carnelian intaglio. It has an oval hoop of D-shaped cross-section and smooth rounded shoulders, with an intaglio recessed in the centre of the flat bezel. The intaglio, a tiny oval carnelian, is set with its upper flat face a little proud of the bezel. One end of the gem is damaged, slightly obscuring the image, which appears to show a two-tiered device flanked by cornucopiae or similar.
