Commissioned by Anita Herle from artist Alick Tipoti, when he visited MAA in 2000 to work with the Museum’s Torres Strait collections. Alick was working on the lino-cut his family home on Horn Island when Herle visited in 2002. The print was received by the Museum in 2003.

Lino-cut print entitled ULAKAL (2002). Limited edition print 2/98 with artist Alick Tipoti’s signature bottom right corner. Black and white scene of numerous dugongs (some with babies or pregnant) swimming through a patterned sea. Excellent condition.
