Context (CMS Context)
Catalogue card 1 reads [handwritten in black ink:] 'Z 147. a-b Lungga Solomon Ids. Carved bamboo lime box Rivers Colln; [later addition handwritten in blue ball point:] 'Guadalcanal'. [Red circular sticker top right of catalogue card.]
Catalogue card 2 reads [typed in black ink:] 'Z 147 Lungga Solomon Islands Carved bamboo lime box c&d Rivers.W.H.R.'
Although catalogued as Z 147 a-b on card 1, this is probably one object - the container and lid may have been designated 'a' and 'b'? The catalogue card records the location as 'Lungga' with 'Guadalcanal' added later. Lungga is the local name for Ranongga Island and is not in Guadalcanal. [Heather Donoghue 17.09.2012].
