Description
Bamboo Lime Container - Incised bamboo lime container with lid. The base is decorated with two pairs of vertical rectangles on each side, with spirals at the top and bottom and the sides decorated with a serrated lines with the serrations facing inwards. Between these rectangles are horizontal bands either decorated top and bottom with serrated lines or filled with rows of small incised triangles. The lid is decorated with the same designs and has triangular cutouts at the top bordered by spirals and terminates in a carved cross. The top of the lid and bottom of the container is covered with a parinarium nut paste seal. [Heather Donoghue 20.06.2012]
