Catalogue card E 1891.70.1 reads [handwritten in black ink:] ‘E. Australia. Queensland. 1891.70, (1). Club.’; [later addition handwritten in blue ballpoint:] ‘ ‘Sword’ (l. 1.4m long) straight, paddle-like; the handle end is ‘horned’ + has twine sewn round the butt; the lower part is painted in white + red’.; [later addition handwritten in pencil:] ‘19/3/79 I found a sword club with a label on it saying Brady, so I have assumed that it is 1891 70(1) as that one has not turned up, tho’ it could as easily be 1891.70(2).’
