Spear-thrower - Catalogue card 1886.67.15 reads [handwritten in blue ballpoint:] ‘1886 67 (15) Australia. W. Queensland. Spear thrower (L. 0.7m). Shaft is oval in shape, broad (0.09m), tapering to point at distal end, where a peg of wood is fixed into mass of resin. At proximal end, shaft tapers more gradually to form a handle at end of which is lump of resin.’

[Later addition handwritten in pencil:] ‘16/1/79 I found 11 spear throwers given by Brunel in 1886; 5 of them have been Z-ed i.e. Z 1357, Z 1360, Z 1361, Z 1361, Z 1363 = Z 1364. Individual cards have been made for each spear thrower. All the objects have O.I. numbers on them, p.t.o.’;
