Description

Shallow bowl of buff fabric with painted decoration. Hemispherical section; wide mouth with slightly inverted rim; walls taper to a flat base. Exterior painted with stylised red and brown feathers on a cream background; brown feathers are grouped in threes with different numbers of red feathers between the groups; each feather has two circular areas where the cream background comes through and a central painted dot of the same colour as the feather. Interior is painted red; rim is brown. Wear to the paint on the base and around the rim.
