Description (CMS Description)
Circular woven basket made from undyed coconut or pandanus leaf. Plaited vertical twill base with two concentric bands of chequer plaiting. The sidewall is made from fine (ca. 2mm) vertical twill plaiting; the rim has been made separately in wider (ca. 6mm) diagonal chequer plaiting and is woven into the finer sidewalls.
