Small woven carrying bag - made of rattan - black and white design. [added later on] v. intricate design - oblong bag -lined inside with broad weave leaves (banana?) - many stranded brown fibre carrying straps.

Rectangular satchel woven from strips of pandanus with large motifs created by weaving in strips of pandanus dyed black and red. Fastened at the top with very long cords of 3-ply plaited coconut fibre.

Labels & inscriptions: a small label with serrated edges and internal blue border is glued inside the object and reads: 'A.v.H. / X 873' in brown ink. A circular label with metallic rim found inside the label reads 'Z 5183-Z5184 / SOLOMON / IS' on one side and [crossed off] 'NO NUMBER / NO LOCALITY / 2 BAGS' on the other.
