Description (CMS Description)
Dance-club of wood, light in colour and light in weight. The wood has been smoked to turn black, then areas have been carved out to form raised motifs: one human figure (hands to the ears, bent legs) and geometrical motifs.

Old removal slip found in box file notes the object was removed by B Smith on 18 March 1989 for display. it is unclear when the object returned to store, if it did in fact go on display, presumably in the Maudslay Gallery.
