Context (Display)
Upon deinstalling the Pacific cases in the Maudslay Gallery in November 2017, this object was not found on display in the Solomon Islands Case (14), nor was it located in the storage box. Another teeth necklace physically marked with the 1939.209 was found on display, this however was listed with 'no location' on the database.
It is possible that this is one and the same object, but this cannot be ascertained at this point in time as 1939.209 does not have a second Z number marked on it or on a label. For this reason the database records for both objects have not yet been merged.
