Money formed of at least nine strands of varying length, tied together at both ends. Predominantly formed of white tridacna shell beads with occasional sections decorated with red spondylus shell and black beads. On a cord of vegetable fibre.

Although there is no precise information re: the acquisition of this object, it is likely to have come from a collection formed by Walter Coote in the Pacific in 1880 and donated to the Museum by Mrs Barkley and Mrs Hornsby in 1941.
