Description (Physical description)
Four strands of shell money topped with a seed shell and tied together at one end. The strands are predominantly formed of white shell beads, with occasional black beads and red shell beads. Strung on a cord of vegetable fibre [Lucie Carreau, 26/08/2015].

Context (Analysis)
Four stranded shell money joined at one end and capped with a large half-seed. This is well worn (unlike Z 31481). Again, it is mostly white Anadara beads, but with some zones of alternating white and brown seed beads and two small zones of red Chama beads. There are also occasional single Chama beads mixed within the white zones - evidence of restringing. There is also clear variance in size and dimensions within the white strands also indicative of restringing. Some zones are more regular with white beads that were clearly produced in a single lot, but they still show signs of extensive wear.
