Description (CMS Description)
Wooden carving of a human arm, stained black with incised arm and wristbands stained in red. The sides of the fingers are unstained. The wristband is made up of a series of horizontal linear rectangles. The armband, positioned near the shoulder, is made up of two horizontal bands; the top band has unstained incised horizontal triangles with a small, unstained projection 'hanging' down the arm. The lower band is plain. At the top of the arm there is a large carved half-round ring, also stained, but with a lighter coat of black. [Heather Donoghue 20.06.2012]
