Bought by Ms Celia Curtis in Uganda, in Karamoja, where it was used by the Karamojong, 1967-9, where the donor worked and travelled, collecting news stories. Ms Curtis travelled with Michael Adams, a landscape painter (now based in the Seychelles), and he remembers that she bought the headrests, lip plug and the rounded based milk pot, informally in Karamoja.

Description (Physical description)
Wooden light brown headrest decorated with burnt line designs, the short rest slightly C-shaped in cross section. The body is rectangular terminating in a rounded foot. There is a metal wire handle on one side of the body, secured through a hole at top and base, with the ends sticking out.
