Description
Wooden male doll rubbed in red pigment. The hair is made of dyed plant fibre and is short at the front and longer at the back. The figure wears a headdress made out of a leather strap and decorated with two strands of red and blue beads and two strands of red and green beads. The eyes are represented by two beads and the ears, nose and mouth are carved into the wood. The doll is wearing numerous rows of beaded necklaces. From chin to shoulders these include one black and yellow necklace, six white necklaces, five red necklaces and two white necklaces. A string of yellow and red/orange beads is hanging down from the necklaces and separates into three strands. A piece of clothing made of hide and decorated with red, blue and white beads and small whitish disks covers the upper body of the doll. The doll is wearing a belt decorated with white and black. The apron covers the lower part of the doll’s body. The front part is decorated with groups of black and white beads, red and yellow, orange and yellow and blue and white beads. The back part is in a V-shape and is decorated with large lilac beads.
