Context (Field collection)
Collected by Dr Sander Ernst van der Leeuw between July and August 1991. Pottery from following villages have been studied in the region of Michoacan: Capula, Tzintzuntzan, Colonia Lazaro Cardenas, Santa Fé de Laguna, Huancito, Patamban and San José de Gracia.

Description (Physical description)
Jug with long neck, and a flat circular body. The handle is wide and as high as the neck. The upper part of the jug is covered in dark green glazing and is decorated with lighter green leaf patterns. The glazing is damaged in places and reveals a beige colour. The bottom part of the jug and the inside are glazed in brown.

Description (Physical description)
Glazed jug with spout, handle, and wide flat base. Decorated with a green leaf design. Glaze has worn off in a few places on body; chip present in handle.
