Context (CMS Context)
Made by Godang anak Buasan, Kampung Pueh. The Selako are officially classified as ‘Bidayuh’ in Sarawak despite speaking a Malayic (rather than Bidayuhic) dialect and originating in a different area. The Selako identity is still very salient, although they usually concede to being ‘Bidayuh’ too. Carries farm produce, e.g. pepper, vegetables. Fine weave makes it possible to also hold rice / seeds.
