Description

Bag - Rectangular carrier bag with handles made entirely of orange and green plastic cord. Oblique 1:1 weave. Embellishments in the upper quarter are slightly raised. Green motifs are reminiscent of classic boton puni (pigeon’s eye) design found on Bidayuh and other basketry.

A good example of how older weaving techniques and motifs have adapted to new materials. Price is roughly equivalent to or cheaper than a similar object made in a local village.
