Description
Basket - Medium-sized tightly woven basket or rattan (wi), with plastic cord and cloth strap. Has dark decorative strips (ronen), which intersect with lighter uncoloured strips (tiron) to form roris (diagonal lines) and boton puni (pigeon’s eye) patterns. Upper third of the basket is lighter and has a finer weave than the bottom. Simu / Se’et sang rim. Vertical weave.
