(Bio): Liana C.L. Chua, female collectorUsed. Made by James Sakas (aka Sama Jos), Kampung Benuk. Collected by Liana Chua.Traditional Bidayuh ‘plate’ or food holder. Still used today in farm huts or during jungle trips: holds both individual rice portions and communal dishes. Leaf is water-resistant and very durable, and is washed clean after use.
