trap - Fish trap, made of rattan (wi), and bamboo (tring). Conical structure with flat top. Has two openings, the inner one consisting of sharp strips slanting inwards. Body consists of long diagonal strips held together by a weft of rattan twine.

(Bio): Liana C.L. Chua, female collector Left in the water; when fish swim through the inner opening they are unable to get out again due to the sharp strips and smaller exit. Offered as a gift after learning about the Crowther-Beynon collecting project. Made by the late Jub anak Subah, Kampung Benuk, as a gift to his daughter Midah anak Jub (Sindu Crispin), who in turn donated it to CUMAA. Collected by Liana Chua. Given 09/12/05.
