Context (Field collection)
Collected by Dr Sander Ernst van der Leeuw between July and August 1991. Pottery from following villages have been studied in the region of Michoacan: Capula, Tzintzuntzan, Colonia Lazaro Cardenas, Santa Fé de Laguna, Huancito, Patamban and San José de Gracia. The number C.L.C.-91/3 most certainly refers to the village Colonia Lazaro Cardenas. Another similar cup is part of MAA's Teaching collection.
