Context (Field collection)
Collected by Dr Sander Ernst van der Leeuw between July and August 1991. Pottery from following villages have been studied in the region of Michoacan: Capula, Tzintzuntzan, Colonia Lazaro Cardenas, Santa Fé de Laguna, Huancito, Patamban and San José de Gracia.

Description (Physical description)
Pottery platform with figurines. The bottom of the platform is inscribed with “Felisitas Elias V”. The platform consists of a nine figurines in total walking in procession. One figure is sitting on a donkey. dressed in purple with a white hat. One of the figures in the front wears a red dress and has a long beard. The two other figures next to him are holding a bunch of flowers in their hands. They wear their hair in two long plats and wear a dress with an apron on top and a shawl wrapped round their necks. One fgure towards the back appears to be an older woman because she has grey plats. There is a man with a white had and a young woman with plats walking behind her. The man with the white hat walking in front of the donkey carries an axe.

Description (Physical description)
Procession of eight pottery figures standing on a brown, rectangular platform. Three figures at the front, two female carrying flowers and one male in red, detached. The second row is a man in a white hat carrying an axe. Behind him is a woman sat on a donkey, detached. Three figures at the back, two female, one male in blue, deatched. Broken area on base suggests a ninth figure but none present.
