Collected by Dr Sander Ernst van der Leeuw between July and August 1991. Pottery from following villages have been studied in the region of Michoacan: Capula, Tzintzuntzan, Colonia Lazaro Cardenas, Santa Fé de Laguna, Huancito, Patamban and San José de Gracia. The number S.F.L.-91/2 most certainly refers to the village Santa Fé de Laguna.

Oval orange-brown dish decorated with a bird in relief. The rim of the dish is wavy and there are fingerprints visible at the back. One of the long upstanding sides has a little hole. The piece is completely glazed.
