Bowmer's catalogue card for batik cloths 44-48, 2004.36-40, is unclear about where each cloth was purchased. It lists Solo (Surakarta, Java), Bali and Singaraja, Bali. The place field for this record has been updated to Singaraja, Bali based on the stamp found on the cloth which refers to the 'Batik Island of the Gods'. 'Land of the Gods' is a known nickname for Bali.

Batik cloth of cream cotton in Solo Style. Long rectangle of cloth, hemmed at both short ends; repeating floral and foliate motifs with abstract spirals and possible wings; in black and brown on a yellow background; stamped twice in black ink with Batik Pulau Dewata.
