Silver finger ring, with moulded decoration in the band and a central red glass gem. Around the gem reads ‘Penderlea High School’ and the numbers ‘1974’ on one side and a hornet on the other. Collected in Yemen it a modified American class ring.

(bio): Mrs. Barbara Spalding. Mrs. Spalding and her husband Michael worked as English teachers in Taiz, Yemen, from 1997-98 during which time she collected silver and talked to the men in the market silver shops.
