Accession No

Description

Small round silver box with lid. The box is decorated with two bands of filigree work, one around each edge. In between these is a band of repeated, soldered decoration, each element consisting of two pieces of twisted silver wire looped next to each other and terminating in a common solid circle. The lid, which is separate, has a decoration which echoes the looped wire theme. There is an upright ring at the centre of the lid which may perhaps once have been used for a chain, but there is no chain present, and no visible means of connecting it to the box.
