Description

Puppet - A: Puppet representing Moenak Kandjun. Wooden with cloth costume. B: Sword. ‘The puppet is dressed with a brown and black batik skirt. His jacket is dark blue with golden rims. In his waist he is wearing a red cloth belt. The puppet is double-headed with one head showing a bearded man. The other head shows a owl-like shaped face with a beard. The heaqd can be turned around. There are a lot of curvilinear designs on the head and two pairs of red pompons are attached with a golden beaded tread to the head. The hand of the puppet are attached to small sticks by means of a cord. A sword on the back of the puppet is held up by the red belt. F. Veys, 05/4/2005’
