Context (Acquisition Details)
This presentation box was awarded to a Hungarian soldier, possibly a Captain. Its text reads: 'In memory For armed service to the Socialist Homeland From the Defence Minister of the Hungarian People's Republic'. Today, such boxes (possibly simply for military service (?) are easily found - in Hungarian flea markets, but not with names indicated. The indication of the names itself, on this box, by way of a plastic adhesive strip, confirms the ordinary nature of this article. Origin: Hungary, Ministry of Defence.
