Description
A small, cloth-bound membership book for the Hungarian Worker's Party. It is rectangular, with a dark red cover , and cream-coloured pages faintly printed with a pale blue pattern. The first page contains spaces for the owner's personal details, which have been filled out in purple ink, and is stamped with their membership number. The middle pages each have a year printed at the top (a double-page spread per year), from 1953-1958. Each double page contains a table with the months written on; January-June on the first page, July-December on the second. Many of the months have paper stamps glued in next to them, likely indicating that dues have been paid that month. Three of these stamps have fallen out (see 2003.135 D.1-3). The back pages of the book contain spaces to fill in more information; however, they have all been left blank.
