Description
Red vinyl binder from the Joint Congress of 1948. The front cover (A) reads 'Egyesülés Kongresszus, 1948. Junius 12-14.' in gold writing. It has two notepads attached to the inside; one (B) roughly square with the emblem of the Hungarian's Workers Party on the front, and the other (C) narrow and undecorated. Between the two notepads is a loop for storing a pen, and below is a storage pocket.

This notepad would likely have been given out to special delegates to the Party Congress that served to combine socialist parties prior to the ascension to power of the Communist Party. As the pristine state of the papers indicate, this notepad was not used.
