Description
A gold-coloured pin badge (A), for marking the recipient's 20th blood donation. At the top there is a narrow rectangular section with a pin fastening on the back and a strip of red glass on the front. A gold-coloured metal medallion hangs from this via a suspension ring. The medallion reads 'Vēradās Ērt' and is decorated with a motif of two droplets, a red '+' sign, and the number '20'. The badge is in a red plastic presentation box lined with foam (B), with a clear plastic lid (C).

The medallion hangs from a military style bar, which demonstrates the way in which civilian awards were given such formal status that even the act of giving blood was considered a part of the idea of national service. The 20 numbering on the award indicates that this award was for having given blood on 20 occasions.
