Context (Production / use)
This flag, titled VASASOK, or Ironworkers, in red stands for the National Union of Ironworkers in Hungary. The union, whose emblem is depicted in the middle of the flag, was the largest in the country under state socialism. The lower text in blue EGYSEG - OSSZEFOGAS can be roughly translated to mean Oneness - Togetherness. Flags of this sort were commonly distributed to participants at public ceremonies and, particularly, for the occasion of MAY DAY parades, etc.

Description (Physical description)
Light blue paper flag for the National Union of Ironworkers in Hungary. The flag reads 'VASASOK' in red, with an insignia below in red, blue, white and gold, depicting a cog wheel and a hammer with two clasped hands, and the dates 1877 and 1903. The bottom of the flag reads 'EGYSÉG - ÖSSZEFOGÁS' on one side, and 'EGYÜTT - EGYMÁSÉRT' on the other, both in blue. The flag has a wooden stick, broken into two pieces.
