Labels & inscriptions: 'G' incised on the back of the fish-hook. This incision connects this object to 1948.2633 A which was collected in Gavutu in 1903. This which may indicate that this (and a few other) objects have been collected by Commissioner Charles Morris Woodford - Woodford was acquainted to Lady Violet Beaumont.

Description (CMS Description)
Fish-hook formed of a shell shank and turtle-shell point lashed with thin plant fibre cords. The fish-hook is provided with a hackle of red cloth and red and white glass beads. The surface inside the shank is heavily scratched. The shank is highly polished at the back.
