Context (Display)
Upon deinstalling the Pacific cases in the Maudslay Gallery in November 2017, this object was found on display in the Solomon Islands Case (14). The object is physically marked with the 1939 IDNO. Another teeth necklace, Z 31504, was listed as being on display, but not found on deinstallation.
It is possible that this is one and the same object, but this cannot be ascertained at this point in time as 1939.209 does not have a second number marked on it or on a label. For this reason the database records for both objects have not yet been merged.
