Wooden figure of a man with a tall pointed hat - eyes inlaid with shell - at base the wood is wider. Probably a pestle.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The shape is unlike any of the other mortars from the Solomon Islands under the care of MAA. It is more akin to the sort of iconography and shape find on some of the like stick (see Z 11226 and Z 1127). I wonder whether this used to be a lime stick but the stick-part has been broken and sanded down.
