Description

Nguzunguzu. Wooden head used as a canoe prow ornament. Prognathous features. Incised lines along the chin, around the eyes and from the nose to the ears, in-filled with lime. Large distended ears, the top of which is smeared with yellow pigments, the bottom is hollow and filled with a thick and crusty lime mixture. Hand clasped under the chin. Tapering cap topped with a diamond-shaped knob. Carved with a lug at the back.
